Speakers

Tamara Cooley, Vanderbilt University Office of Emergency Preparedness
Tamara is the Workplace Safety Officer for Vanderbilt University, in the Office of Emergency Preparedness, Fire & Workplace Safety.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and has worked in the field of occupational health and safety since graduating in 1996.  She previously worked for Vanderbilt Environmental Health and Safety for 16 years before transitioning to Vanderbilt University Public Safety. Tamara has been a Certified Industrial Hygienist since 2008 through the American Board of Industrial Hygienists and obtained her Certified Safety Professional designation in 2016 through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Committed to providing a safe and healthful workplace, Tamara’s area of responsibility includes OSHA program management, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, safety audits, and injury investigations, training, and consultation services to all VU departments.

Mark Bogard, MSPH, CIH, Vanderbilt EH&S Department
Mark Bogard, M.S.P.H., C.I.H., is Program Manager for Chemical Safety and Industrial Hygiene for the Vanderbilt Environmental Health and Safety Department at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  He manages a professional staff that provides technical oversight for safety, health, environmental and industrial hygiene management programs for the Vanderbilt research and laboratory community.  Mark is a board Certified Industrial Hygienist with more than twenty years of experience in developing and managing safety, health and environmental programs for both corporate and academic research institutions. He holds a master’s of public health (MSPH) degree in environmental health from University of Alabama at Birmingham and a bachelor of science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Wes Cline, CSP, CIH – Stantec
Wes Cline, CIH, CSP is the HSSE Manager for the US Central Region of Stantec Consulting Services.  His responsibilities at Stantec include risk assessment, safety and environmental program compliance, industrial hygiene testing, training and incident investigations for a diverse array of business lines and professional consulting services projects throughout the region.  Wes is a Board Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, Engineer in Training and Licensed Electrician with over 20 years of electrical and mechanical construction experience including 10 years managing client and corporate HSSE programs at remediation, power, transportation, commercial and industrial construction projects across the US.  He holds a Master of Science in Chemistry and Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science and Technology from Middle Tennessee State University.
